Kirrily Whatman

Transpersonal Counselling / Acupressure Therapist

Hi, my name is Kirrily.

I am a student practitioner in Five Element Acupressure, currently offering treatments at Ginkgo Healthcare as part of my hands-on training towards certification.

I was drawn to this gentle, non-invasive meridian-based therapy because I witnessed in myself and others, how deeply the body holds wisdom and how much relief and insight can arise when we are gently supported.

My background in transpersonal therapy shapes the way I work with this modality: with presence, respect for each person’s inner wisdom, and holding space for the deeper emotional and spiritual layers that often accompany physical or felt symptoms. I bring warmth, a little humour, and a genuine heart to the work we do together.

Five Element Acupressure uses light fingertip pressure along sequences of acu-points on the body’s meridians. It supports restoration of the body’s natural balance and vitality, working with the whole person and encouraging multi-dimensional healing. As energy flows more freely, pain and tension may soften, emotions may shift, and a grounded sense of calm or clarity often emerges. Some people notice relief after one session, while others find the treatments complement other therapies and foster longer-term healing and self-awareness.

Each session isn’t always about fixing or resolving, and often, there is no quick solution. Yet even without “answers,” these treatments can unfold further growth, healing, and a felt sense of returning to wholeness.

I am a qualified Transpersonal Counsellor and a member of the International Institute of Complementary Therapists. I am also a trained Mental Health First Aider. In the past, I have volunteered as a Bonnie Babes Foundation phone grief counsellor and co-facilitated Alternatives To Violence workshops in the community. For several years, I provided foster care, supporting young people in need.
