Jan is a qualified and registered Naturopath who lives in the Dandenong Ranges. Her business name is Magnolia Apothecary. Magnolia is her favourite tree, and it is also a wonderful herb for mental health. Apothecary is an old word for someone who prepared medicinal products, so for a Naturopath that is herbal medicine.
Jan is interested in all things Gut related, especially the Gut/Brain connection. This connection involves some of her other passions including epigenetics, methylation, and environmental health. Jan is passionate about addressing the gut, especially in mood and autoimmune conditions, as both need a well-functioning gut to improve.
Complex cases are something Jan enjoys. Thyroid issues are another passionate subject as she has first-hand experience and a family history. She also enjoys working with Pre and Post-Natal clients, and kids who have learning difficulties.
