Since childhood, Kelly has found solace in creativity. Through her creative outlets of drawing, painting, fibre arts and printmaking, she discovered mindfulness and the power of self regulation.
Whilst teaching Art in a primary school, she discovered the existence of Art Therapy and knew instantly that her love of art and desire to help others could be combined in this field.
After obtaining her Masters Degree in Art Therapy from the MIECAT institute in Melbourne 2024, Kelly enjoys bringing the powerful effects of therapeutic Arts to adults and children alike.
What is Art Therapy?
The Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) defines art therapy as....“an experiential psychotherapeutic approach utilising many creative modalities within a therapeutic relationship with a trained therapist. It is holistic, attending to emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual well-being”
Art Therapy with Kelly gives you a safe environment to express and explore your emotions and experiences through the creative process. Your art work WON’T be analysed by Kelly, nor will you be required to have any art skills to attend.
